|Some unfortunate news Tuesday, as two freshmen members of the Ohio State football team experienced injuries that could cost them their rookie season.
Linebacker Kyle Berger first tweeted that he had torn his ACL, the same injury that cut short his senior season at Cleveland’s Saint Ignatius high school last year. It seems, though, that his attitude towards the injury is as positive as can be expected.
Later, it was also revealed that first year defensive lineman Dylan Thompson (so close…) will miss 2-3 months with a fractured kneecap, which occurred sometime last week.
With a deep roster for Coach Larry Johnson to work with, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear that he will redshirt this season, particularly given that he elected to not have it surgically repaired.
We’ll keep you up to date as this develops, and certainly wish both a speedy and complete recovery.
