On the evening of June 25, 2015 with the 2nd overall pick in the NBA Draft The Los Angeles Lakers made a nice chess move. Everyone had expected that they would take Jahlil Okafor a 6’11” force from Duke. Instead they chose D’Angelo Russell of The Ohio State University. So much for all the pundits […]

Before I get started, I need to give D’Angelo his props for sporting the Scarlet & Gray for the Draft. Well done, young man, well done. The Buckeye freshman averaged 19 points, 5 assists and nearly 6 rebounds per game this season.
Every game D’Angelo Russell plays in makes it harder to justify that he could return to Columbus for a second season. The freshman guard awed college basketball fans on Sunday against Rutgers with another performance for the ages. The Buckeyes visited the Louisville Cardinals this evening for their part of the 2014 ACC/B1G Challenge. Despite finding themselves down as much as 19 points, the Buckeyes fought back and made it a game in the end, falling 64-55 on the road. The Buckeyes were led in scoring by D’Angelo Russell’s 17 points, who also […]
